Jade R. Ménard is a visual artist based in Montreal.

Their practice is varied and multidisciplinary.

They are fascinated by the interconnexion between humans and their environment, especially social. Their practice materialize trough a multidisciplinary approach where the medium is dictated by the idea. It is often through humor, pop culture and ridicule that their discourse on identity construct takes shape. Normative codes are central to their practice which put beliefs, expectations and perceptions on the spotlight. It’s also through derogation to the norm that they expresses the difficulty for some to live in their environment. They are seduced by the poetry of traces left on both human and their environment. Humans leaving marks on their environment, they are also marked by it. Far from having a detached view, they uses both intimacy and extravagant self-show to allow a sharing of vulnerabilities.
